T’is “Cherry Blossom” season in DC and the blossoms are lovely. Mother nature is not being particularly kind, however, dishing out cool and windy weather. When we went into the National Archives yesterday morning it was close to freezing. We thought we might go to the Jefferson Memorial around 2 pm, but we decided to enjoy just the beautiful northern magnolias and spring blossoms at the Grand Army of the Republic before heading back to Springfield on the Metro.

There has been such sad news this year with the tragedy in Japan, Middle-Eastern instability, and my family health issues; these beautiful photos make my heart feel more hopeful.
Thank you!

Thank you for sharing your beautiful photos. They are a beautiful spring sight for this “desert dweller”!
