Yesterday was a gorgeous day — perfect for visiting the Atlanta Botanical Garden. ABG has an amazing variety of gardens including the “Southern Seasons Garden,” Camellias,’ Perennial Gardens, Japanese Garden, Rose Garden, and Rock Garden. All are so marvelous but will be much more inviting when spring sprouts in three or four weeks.
During the cooler months, the main attraction is the Fuqua Conservatory and Orchid Center. The conservatory has four areas: Orangerie, the Desert House, the Tropical Rotunda, and Amphibian Display.
Several years ago Atlanta Botanical Garden had a special exhibition of Chihuly glass. The Garden continues to display two of his prominent pieces, a chandelier and the wonderful blue piece in the fountain.
