This headstone erected in the memory of Ewin is located in the Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery at the intersection of Ga.State Highway 108 and Bethany Road near the Cherokee County line in southeastern Pickens County. The primitive carving on the head stone indicates that Erwin was born the 11 day of October 1814 and died on the 11the day of October 1851.
